     single layer potential with the kernel function
     \f[ \frac{1}{\|x-y\|_2} \f]
     i.e. for the integral equation
     \f[ 4 \pi \int_{\Gamma} \frac{u(y)}{\|x-y\|_2} dy = f(x) \f]
